In an effort to support research development and promote general scientific and technical activities, specifically in the field of electric vehicles in Vietnam, PCN Global and GCL have donated two Wuling Hongguang Mini EV cars to the School of Mechanical Engineering at HUST. This event not only contributes to advancing research but also demonstrates the commitment of businesses to supporting education and community development.
The donation ceremony took place at HUST, with the participation of leaders from both companies, along with professors, and students interested in mechanical engineering and electric vehicles from HUST.
Son Jinho, COO of PCN Global and GCL, shared his thoughts: "Currently, there are many people interested in electric vehicles, along with the increase of demand for battery-powered products in developing countries, including LSEV.
Therefore, we decided to donate two LSEV cars to assist students at HUST, where some of the brightest talents in Vietnam study, in their research.
Last August, PCN emphasized the importance of collaborative research among nations in the E-mobility field through the E-mobility Experience in South Korea. Experts and professors from various fields and schools, including Brazil, South Africa, Thailand, and Vietnam, were invited to attend and experience the event.
Among them, PUCRS University in Brazil had some expertise in E-mobility research and development. It would be even better if Vietnam could establish collaboration between universities and postgraduate institutions with PUCRS University in Brazil for electric vehicle research.
PCN will make every effort to support and assist young talents in Vietnam. Especifically, we plan to invest in battery safety testing activities in Hanoi and provide facilities for students to visually inspect the results of their research.
Once again, we appreciate the collaboration with HUST and hope that this contribution will yield the best results."

These mini EV cars are not just means of transportation but are also used as tools to support research and practical activities in lectures and student projects. This is a significant step forward in improving the quality of education, encouraging creativity, and fostering innovation in the students' learning process.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Truong Hoanh Son, Dean of the School of Mechanical Engineering at Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST), also shared his emotions: "We are very grateful for the precious contributions from the esteemed companies PCN Global and GCL. Previously, due to limited infrastructure and equipment, the research and development process of students experienced many challenges. Equipping these two mini EV cars not only helps students practice better but also the learning environment more convenient and modern."
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoàng Hồng Hải, Vice Dean of the School of Mechanical Engineering at HUST, also shared: "We hope that through this collaboration, students will have more opportunities to conduct in-depth research on electric vehicles, providing conditions for effective hands-on practice and internships."
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Đàm Hoàng Phúc, Director of the Automotive Engineering Program at the School of Mechanical Engineering, HUST, further stated: "We also hope that these two mini EV cars will contribute to the research on small electric vehicle models, enabling us to develop and produce high-quality electric vehicles in the future."
The donation of two mini EV cars to the School of Mechanical Engineering at HUST has created a new chance for students, faculty, and the university to enhance their capabilities, research, and technological. This is also a clear demonstration of the positive collaboration between businesses and education, aiming towards an innovative and sustainable future for the mechanical engineering industry in Vietnam.
