The launching event of the Wuling Hongguang Mini electric ev in Vietnam took place on Thursday, June 29, 2023, at the National Convention Center, Hanoi. The event was attended by representatives from Wuling Motors, TMT Motors as well as government officials and members of the social media.
Wuling HongGuang MiniEV is a product researched and developed by a joint venture between General Motors (USA) and Shanghai Auto, Guangxi Auto - SGMW. TMT Motors cooperates with SGMW to assemble, manufacture and distribute to consumers in Vietnam.
Currently, the Wuling Hongguang Mini EV is an affordable, small electric car that is very popular in China. It is known for its low price, range covered up to 170 km and small size making it easy to maneuver in crowded cities.
The Vietnamese government is eager to promote the use of electric vehicles in order to reduce air pollution. The launching of the Wuling Hongguang Mini EV is seen as a major step forward in this effort.
At the launch, the manufacturer's representative expected that mini electric cars will be a positive trend to replace 2-wheel motorcycles in the future. Currently, the car has started to be deposited from June 29 with the proposed price for the standard version from only 239 million vnd.
The car has a fairly compact size of 2,920mm x 1,493mm x 1,621mm. Vietnamese customers will have 2 options: the base version and the advanced version. In addition, the car is also equipped with technologies such as LED taillights, ABS brakes, Projector headlights and 2-way air conditioning.
This ev offers 9 color versions for customers. The car can also reach a maximum speed of up to 100 km / h, along with 2 battery options for a travel distance of 170 km or 120 km.
Vehicles will be warranted for 3 years or 150,000 km, depends on whichever comes first. Currently, customers can register to test drive Wuling Hongguang Mini EV directly on the road on Saturday, July 1.
